Barth on Gospel and Law

Jason Micheli at Tamed Cynic glosses the section of my book that treats Barth’s law/gospel reversal. I think it comes across pretty well. This is probably one of the parts of my book that I thought about, read about, and worked on the longest. I’m already building on this theme in my next book, working on a Reformed account of Virtue ethics necessarily entails getting clear on the gospel/law relationship. Right now, I’m preaching through Galatians (first sermon here), hoping to adapt that into a chapter on gospel. Then, in Fall 2020, I intend to preach on the Decalogue, thinking through questions of sanctification in a Reformed perspective.
